The Middle East Association (MEA) is the UK ’s premier private-sector organisation for promoting trade and good relations with the Middle East, North Africa , Turkey , Iran and Azerbaijan . The MEA is an independent and non-profit making association founded in 1961 and based in London . It represents some 400 large and small companies from all business and industry sectors who together account for an estimated 70% of UK trade with the region. The Patron of the Association is HRH The Duke of York, UK Special Representative for International Trade and Investment.

Membership is open to individuals as well as companies. The Middle East Association organises conferences, seminars, lunches and trade missions as well as receptions with visiting Ministers from the region and Arab and UK Ambassadors.

The Federation of GCC Chambers (FGCCC) was founded on September 27, 1979 upon an initiative by the GCC’s private sector represented in chambers of commerce and industry in the Gulf countries. FGCCC is based in the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia. Primarily, FGCCC is seeking to achieve economic integration between the GCC countries and to remove obstacles hindering trade exchange among GCC countries. FGCCC is also seeking to promote exports and investment opportunities in the GCC countries through opening diversified partnerships with foundations and organisations in the Gulf, Arab and Muslim worlds and the world.
